  • 2020 June Shuswap – North Okanagan Hub & Spoke – POSTPONED to 2021 due to COVID-19
    Status: Completed

    Welcome to the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the Shuswap – North Okanagan! Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of nature as you explore on your bike some of over 1500 kilometers of paved back roads in the area. Along each day’s cycling route we can enjoy short walks, visits to local wineries, swimming beaches, bird watching “hot spots”, scenic view points and cycle-friendly local cafes. Our hub for the week’s rides will be at Sorrento Centre on Shuswap Lake, 35K northwest of Salmon Arm via Highway 1.

  • 2020 Chilliwack Hub & Spoke – CANCELLED due to COVID-19
    Status: Completed

    Explore the less-ridden, eastern half of the lower Fraser Valley: specifically Harrison Hot Springs, the amazing, little-known Quintette Tunnels at Othello (remote start), upper Chilliwack River, Chilliwack marshes along the Fraser, historic Clayburn Village, Bridal Veil Falls and more.

  • 2020 B.C. Southern Gulf Islands Hub & Spoke – POSTPONED due to COVID-19
    Status: Completed

    The Southern Gulf Islands are perhaps best known for their artists, wineries, fromageries and farms, as well as for their natural beauty. The islands and surrounding ocean are rich with ecologically diverse plants and sea life including Garry oaks, wild lilies, kelp beds and Orcas. We’ll explore Pender Island (our hub), Mayne Island and Galiano Island: cycling and walking “on island time”.

  • 2020 Oceanside Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    This 7-day hub and spoke is centred in the Southern California City of Oceanside, approximately 35 miles north of San Diego. Oceanside offers many bike routes north (into Orange County), east, and south (San Diego County). We will explore all these directions. We will do out and back rides, loops, and 1-ways using public transportation (commuter trains/light rail). Seniors can purchase inexpensive ½ price tickets. We will split into 2 groups each day to facilitate better group control and sometimes to accommodate public transit. Rides will include coffee and lunch stops. You can buy or bring your lunch.

  • 2019 Chemainus Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    Chemainus (the little town that could) once was a bustling saw milling community. Now a world famous town of past historical murals and one of the best live theatres in Canada. It is visited by tourists from all over the world. Chemainus is in the District of North Cowichan 18 km north of Duncan. The rides will consist mostly of country back roads and trails, past many picturesque rural farms. Come and enjoy a late summer ride in an easy paced community between Victoria and Nanaimo.

  • 2019 Duncan Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    Both Duncan and the Cowichan Valley are renowned cycling centres, with both the Cowichan Valley Regional District and Cycle Cowichan developing and promoting cycling routes and trails. In part, this is due to the beautiful views and vistas presented throughout the Valley.

  • 2019 – Guelph, Ontario Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    In 2019, the National Capital Region Chapter of the CCCTS is planning a six-day H&S in southern Ontario. The hub will be the city of Guelph, located at the confluence of the Speed and Eramosa rivers. The city is known as “The Royal City”, home to the Basilica of Our Lady and the University of Guelph, and is approximately 100 km west of Toronto.

  • 2019 Seattle Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    We will explore Seattle and surrounding cities highlighting the parks, gardens and waterfront views. Routes take advantage of bike lanes, trails and shared roadways.

  • 2019 Vancouver Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    We will tour along the many bicycle routes of the Lower Mainland and enjoy both the natural beauty of the area as well as many areas of interest – both historical and contemporary. In your “non-ride” time slot, the UBC campus has activities and programs that may be of interest. We will be using designated bike routes whenever possible. Most all rides will be on urban streets with some traffic. This is not a challenging event so the emphasis is on the leisurely side of riding.

  • 2018 Manitoulin Island Hub & Spoke

    Enjoy 4 days of cycling and one day of hiking on Mindoo Mnis or Spirit Island as Manitoulin Island was once called by the first nations people. Manitoulin is the heart and spirit of the Great Lakes of Canada and it is the largest island on a freshwater lake in the world!

  • 2018 South Okanagan Hub & Spoke

    Five days of riding in the sunny southern Okanagan based out of Penticton, BC.

  • 2018 Trois Rivières, Quebec Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    The National Capital Region Chapter of the CCCTS is planning a six-day H&S in the Mauricie Region of Quebec province. The hub will be Trois Rivières, the city at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and St. Maurice rivers.

  • 2018 Comox Valley Hub & Spoke
    Status: Completed

    Enjoy a variety of rides in the beautiful Comox Valley and near-by islands, with options of leisurely, moderate and advanced riding.
    Monday afternoon will be the registration followed by a short ride. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will feature intermediate rides from Leisurely to Fast and from 40 km to 100 km.

    Join us for some of the most beautiful rides in the best “bloomin” city in North America. This will be a 4 day event with rides of all levels of ability offered each day including daily themed rides . All rides will be led and swept.
