Ride Description:

This is a 6-day H&S based in Bellingham, Washington. The first day (July 24) is check-in day followed by Happy Hour at 5 pm. The following four days (July 25 – 28) are riding days with rides going in all four directions from Bellingham. These rides are described below. The last day (July 29) is check-out day. After check-out an optional ride to Ferndale (40 km return) will be offered. Rides on the four riding days are as follows:

  • West to Lummi Island – This is a 90 km ride going north and west to Lummi Island, around Lummi Island and back. Cost of the ferry to Lummi Island will be paid by participants. (Currently the cost is $7 for a return trip).
  • East to Everson – This ride will take in Nugent’s Corner, Nooksack, and Everson. The ride is approximately 75 km.
  • North to Lynden – This ride goes to the quaint Dutch-influenced town of Lynden and is approximately 80 km.
  • South to La Connor– This ride follows the Chuckanut Drive south to Edison and La Connor for a total of 110 km. There is a shorter option on this day for a 65 km ride which does not go as far as La Connor and is partly self-guided.
