Perkins from Bate Island 71k

• Lunch: There is a very nice park for a picnic and a grocery store well-stocked with sandwiches.  Lunch can also be had at Subway or Tim’s.

• Note: 

  Some people may be reluctant to park on Bate Island because there is a posted 4 hour limit.  Last Wednesday I talked to half a dozen Rideau Trail members who were parked there.  They didn’t know of anyone who had been ticketed.  Some didn’t even know there was a 4 hour limit.  It appears that the chances of being ticketed are small.  Anyone who is still concerned about a ticket should find some other place to park and then ride to Bate Island.
