Quadra Island

Fifteen riders left Oyster River Discovery Foods in partly cloudy weather to cycle to Campbell River.  By the time we made it to the ferry, it was completely overcast.  We took the 10 minute crossing to Quathiaski Cove and cycled up and down some hills, to April Point Lodge.  The service and food were not up to the standards of the past, perhaps due to new ownership.  We then cycled back, trying to avoid the new chip seal along the old highway.  Not one of our better rides but we got our 50 km in, drove back to Courtenay and rediscovered the sun!
