Tour Description: The Tour will offer the participants an appreciation for the varied landscape of the Fraser Valley, from historic Fort Langley to Hope. Riders will experience the quiet back roads on both the north and south sides of the mighty Fraser River. This is an area that endeavours to retain its rural “charm” while at the same time co-existing with an encroaching urban population. There will be an opportunity to gain an appreciation for the agricultural richness of the Valley as well as the sites that have enriched the history of the area. This is a camping tour in the CCCTS tradition but with a slight modification**. The cooking duties are shared so there will always be great meals, generous portions, along with snacks and appetizers. Just bring along a good appetite! (Dietary restrictions should be noted at the time of payment.) The support vehicle will carry all of our camping gear, but don’t exceed the 20kg suggested weight limit! Parking for the duration of the tour will be in Fort Langley at a modest cost. A detailed itinerary, including maps, will be distributed when signing in on July 16th.

** Participants wishing to MOTEL IT: Those deciding for this option will be required to pay the cost of the tour because you will be accessing all the facilities and equipment as the campers. You will be expected to participate in meal preparations, and be an active participant at the campground. An effort will be made to transport your luggage to your lodging. (But there’s no guarantee at this time.) A suggested list of lodgings will be available upon registration – they should be close to the campgrounds.

Riding: The rides will be at a relatively leisure pace with undulating roads. An effort will be made to avoid the busier roadways. Because the event combines both “traditional” tour rides and Hub & Spoke rides there will be optional rides “lengthy day’”, from Fort Langley to Hope but it’s not onerous and will be at a leisurely pace, as all rides will be.

Tour Fee includes: camping accommodations, support vehicle, leader’s accommodation, three meals plus snacks and maps.

Registration: will open on January 26, 2015 at 5:00pm PST (1700h) via Karelo at   http://tinyurl.com/m9dw6g   — a $2 non-refundable fee is charged.
