Riding Conditions:

Rides will be on quiet, scenic paved back roads through rural areas of farmland, along lakes, river valleys, forests, and hills. We aim to provide a lead and a sweep to serve each subgroup on all rides.  Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s cycling route options will require cyclists to drive to the subgroup’s route starting location. Cyclists must provide their own transportation. Sunday’s, Tuesday and Friday’s cycling routes will begin from and end at Sorrento Centre. One of Wednesday’s subgroup rides, the Okanagan Rail Trail route, will be on packed gravel – okay for road tires, 28 mm to 32 mm width, or wider gravel road tires.

Fee Includes:
  • Ride with GPS (RWGPS) digital routes will be added to our Club website’s RWGPS Route Library.
Cyclists can load these routes to their device for route navigation. Paper route maps will be available if you make your request to the Ride Leader the week before the event. Better still, just relax and enjoy your ride! You can rely on your subgroup’s Lead and Sweep cyclists for navigation…, unless you decide not to join one of each day’s ride subgroups.

  • two Happy Hour snacks: Monday & Wednesday: veggies & dip, crackers & cheese, fruit

Registration and Participant Selection:

The Club's Registration Lottery will be on the CCCTS website during the dates and times shown - 8 days. All participants must be current CCCTS members for the 2026 ride season at time of registration.   A computerized lottery system and waitlist will be utilized if the ride is over-subscribed. $80 CDN payment is required at the time of registration. If you are registering with a friend/partner you can register separately as “singles” if you’re ok with just one of you getting in.  However, if you BOTH want to get in get in, you MUST register as a COUPLE.  When you register as a couple, your lottery number will become the average of your two lottery numbers, and you will either both get in or neither of you will get in.  This decision must be made before you register and cannot be undone or done later in the process.  When registering as a couple, you must check two boxes in the “couple” column and include both names. The lottery signup will run for eight days, after which the Ride Leader will review the results.

The selection process will consider the following criteria in evaluating candidates:

  • membership has been renewed for 2026
  • fitness and riding ability and experience required for the tour,
  • a history of demonstrating safe riding practices,
  • acceptable social behavior.

The leader may interview riders or others who know them to verify their suitability for the Hub & Spoke.  The Leader will have the discretion to make the final decision on whether someone is accepted for a tour and may reject applicants after discussion with the Hub & Spoke Director.  Member selection is done primarily by lottery results but the leader will have the final decision.   The number of priority members is limited to 30% of the number of participants to a maximum of 6 prioritized participants.

The leader will notify registrants of their selection status. If the ride is not filled to capacity, registration will continue until the closing date shown. Registration Fees are considered non refundable in the event of a cancellation.

All cyclists are to follow the CCCTS Safe Cycling Practices and CCCTS Code of Conduct.
