If you click on a link on our website and nothing happens, this article is for you.
On our website links always look like this: John Doe. If you click on a link and get an error message than there is something wrong with the link. Please let the webmaster know so that it can be fixed. However, if instead clicking on the link does nothing, than it is probably a problem with the setup of your device rather than the link. This is most likely a mailto link and its purpose is to send an email to the person referenced by the link (i.e. John Doe).
Do not despair. There is a simple work around. If you are on a windows machine right-click on the link. That should bring up a context menu with several options. Select the one that says “Copy email address”. Once you have done that then you can go to your favorite email client (e.g. google mail, outlook, etc.) and paste the copied address into the “To” line. That’s it. You can accomplish the same thing manually that the link should do automatically. If you are using an Apple product the procedure is similar but the wording is a bit different: just “Copy” rather than “Copy email address”.
