Registration and Participant Selection:
The lottery registration will open on Saturday January 11, 2025 on the CCCTS website and close on Wednesday January 22, 2025. A non-refundable $115 CDN payment is required at the time of registration. Registration is limited to 70 "out of town" participants.
- If you are registering with a friend/partner or someone you wish to share a room with, you can register separately as “singles” if you’re ok with just one of you getting in. However, if you only want to go if you BOTH get in, you MUST register as a COUPLE. When you register as a couple, your lottery number will become the average of your two lottery numbers, and you will either both get in or neither of you will get in. This decision must be made before you register and cannot be undone or done later in the process. When registering as a couple, you must check two boxes in the “couple” column and include both names.
- Here is a great video explaining the registration process: How To Register for a CCCTS Ride Event
The lottery signup will run for 10 days, after which time the Leader will review the results.
The selection process will consider the following criteria in evaluating candidates:
- fitness and riding ability and experience required for the tour,
- a history of demonstrating safe riding practices,
- acceptable social behaviour.
The leader may interview riders or others who know them to verify their suitability for the Hub and Spoke. Member selection is done primarily by lottery results but the leader will have the final decision and the right to reject applicants for the Hub and Spoke after discussion with the Hub and Spoke Director. The leader also has the option to prioritize 30% of the tour applicants
The leader will notify registrants of their selection status. If the ride is not filled to capacity, registration will continue until the closing dates shown. Registration Fee payments are considered non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Wait listed cyclists who don't make it to the Ride's "Go List" are encouraged to remain on the waitlist; alternatively they may request a refund of their registration fee (minus the stripe fee).
If you have previously been the “Leader” of any Hub & Spoke with the Club, please contact the Leader (L. Vea) and let him know via a separate email when you register and, if you do not get in via your “priority number” you will be considered to be selected as a thank-you for your contribution to the Club
Communicable Illness Information: CCCTS riding guidelines including communicable illness guidelines will apply. CCCTS strongly recommends all participants to be up to date on all vaccinations”. See the CCCTS Communicable Illnesses Policy and Proceduresdocument on the CCCTS website for the most up-to-date guidelines.
