Other Information : Meech Creek Valley hike permutation #4: From P16 we walk down Cowden Rd and an old farm lane (getting overgrown) before striking off through the woods. We go under the autoroute to Chemin Fleurs Sauvage, cross the old highway, and drop down to the Chelsea railtrail. After walking beside the Gatineau River, we go back uphill at Farm Pt, cross the highways, and return via Cross Loop road (covered bridge en route). Too much road walking means less time on muddy trail.

 

What to Bring : Sturdy footwear, clothing appropriate to the day, possibly hiking poles. Bring water and snacks. Expect mud on forest path (2 km)

 

Apres-hike  :  Tulip Valley junction coffee shop/bar/restaurant (or Old Chelsea coffee shop)
