Cross Loop Rd. along trail 72 to Brown Cabin.  This may be shortened.

 Meet: Along Cross Loup Road next to access road-pathway just west of the Highway 5-Cross Loop Road interchange (not at P15), Gatineau Park.  Exit 24 off Hwy 5.  Then left at Cross Loop.  Road parking

Starting time: 10:30 AM

 Distance: 12 km or shorter.

 Route Details: Road/pathway links up with Trail 71 which links up Trail 72.  We would follow 72 in a clockwise direction with a lunch break at Brown cabin. The toilets are open and the cabin is open for emergencies. Return would be the same route other than taking the other half of the Trail 72 loop.

 Lunch: outside at Brown’s cabin

What to bring : Snack, Lunch, Warm drink, Spikes/snowshoes depending on snow, Poles (optional), Extra layers.

Season or Day Pass is required to use the Gatineau Park winter trails.  Daily fee is $7/seniors.  There is, however, no attendant or box at our starting point.  I have 2 free coupons just in case we are asked.

 Other: Paths are well trampled down due to winter cycling. If sufficient snow, can snowshoe but for a shorter distance. Privies at Brown’s cabin. Cabin open for emergencies only.

 Total participants: 20. Could proceed as two groups if necessary
