Begin:  These are the best roads to Almonte but quite flat.  There is a total ascent of 135.73 m and a maximum elevation of 147.25 m.  Head south on Carp road, and turn right at the stop sign onto Donald B. Munro Drive, which winds for 10.37 Km where it feeds into 

Panmure Road. Travel this for about 12.67 km, and turn left on Blakeny Road for 1 km or so and left again onto

Martin Street route #17  Martin Street 6 km to Main Street, turn right and follow it to the park (on your right) a total of 30.28 km.  Or Just before the park, turn left on Mill Street to the Barley Mow Pub. (down a laneway on the left)  It has a patio overlooking the Mississippi River and what used to be the old Mill.  I need to know how many for a reservation.  Marylou.davies1@gmail.com
