The H&S is rated as intermediate as the choice of rides is mixed. Rides will be offered in all directions from Peterborough: northward to the village of Lakefield and lakes, Chemong, Pigeon and Clear; eastward toward the town of Norwood; south to Rice Lake; and east to Bailieboro and Millbrook. The topography around Peterborough is generally rolling although the area is noted for its drumlins, an ice-age geological feature which should interest cyclists. There will be 5 days of rides from Peterborough including Friday, June 2nd, before our return to Ottawa. Each day there will be several ride options. In general, ride distances will range between 45 and 100 kms (your choice).
Your organizing committee of Nel Ahmed (petronellaa@primus.ca), Geoff Kennedy (gkennedy10@rogers.com, 613-232-6642), and Ed Weber (eweber@sympatico.ca, 613-829-1330) invites you to come and join the fun as we explore this region of Ontario.
