Name of Hike : Ferguson Forest Trail (Kemptville) and Rideau Canal Tip to Tip Trail.

Start location : Park at Ferguson Forest Trail Parking #1 on County Road 44 Kemptville.
Distance : Approx 10kms +/-
Time : 10 AM
Capacity: 24 maximum
Route details : Walk in Ferguson Forest on trail network. Terrain is flat and wooded with a section along the Kemptville Creek. Distance will be approx. 6kms. Then we do a short drive to Burritts Rapids Lockstation on River Rd. Park in parking spots in front of the Lockstation. We will cross over the top of the locks at Burrits Rapids and walk on the Rideau Canal Tip to Tip trail along the Rideau River and Canal for the distance of the trail and then return back on the same trail. The total distance on Tip to Tip trail out and back will be approximately 4-5kms. We will have water and snack stops along the trail.
Lunch plans : We will have lunch and coffee at the Boathouse Café across the road from the Burritts Rapids Locks.
